mp900427741Serving Humanity, Something most of us rarely think about or we leave it others to do. Doing such things as feeding, clothing and help find housing for the needy or just showing kindness and hospitality towards strangers, visitors and others in general are all part of the territory of helping / serving fellow human beings. Why stop at humans, stray, abandoned and abuse animals also need compassion and food. A heart that is compassionate towards all life is a healthy heart. To put aside our own egos and our nature to be self-serving and to embrace a compassionate and humble mentality is quite honorable. It’s easy to be like the majority and worry only about oneself and those whom one loves and knows. It may a bit hard to be humble and dedicated to serve others, but the rewards are great. The satisfaction of helping others is just one benefit, the other benefit includes the friendships that will e forged in the process along with the creation of better self character. You will become more positive through doing positive and compassionate works. Though it is said one can not get into heaven on good works alone, that implies good works are one of the requirements one needs to enter. Good works are a reflection of ones heart and spirit, this is what makes the works truly good.

This Post Made me think of Matthew Vs 34-40

34Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: 35For I was  hungered, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: 36Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. 37Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee  hungered, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? 38When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? 39Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? 40And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

Enjoy the moment you are in and each moment that follows, for a moment only has its own time to be and never will it be again. Enjoy and celebrate who you are, you are the only person like you in all existence. Once your time is up you shall not be again, a lifetime is but a small amount of time to exist. So do not doubt yourself and do not cheat yourself from becoming the best you that you can be. Worry little about if others like or accept you, fo there will always be those that oppose and/or dislike you. Just the same there will be many who will love and accept you for who you are, So walk away from those who shun you and embrace those that do. Think no ill thoughts of those who dislike you. Life is way too short to waste energy trying to convince someone to like you, so use that time and energy on better things.

This is your moment, this is your life! Cherish it, embrace it and constantly work at making each moment more memorable than the last. This life is a gift, Celebrate it, live it and be thankful for this chance to exist.

Random Thoughts 12-15-15

rayrayd_edited-1.pngMemories of my youth, memories of sunny days and picnics by the river. Sunshine warming my body and friends to hangout with. Family members gathering and enjoying life for all it was worth. Those days have long gone but their influence on my soul is still with me. My friends have moved on and forgotten about me and family members are less now days. Ah the beauty and wonder of the innocence we had in youth, dreams of happiness and fulfillment. The desire to belong and to be a part of the world we live in and all of its splendor as well. Some of the dreams remain and so does the desire to be a part of something. Unfortunately the innocence is lost in time and through our experiences in life, though we lose our innocence we gain wisdom and knowledge to help us through our journey.

mp900442811Sometimes we tend to get lost in our own egos, we get stuck in the me, myself and I mentality. We forget that everyone else has thoughts, feelings, ideas and their own take on life. We quickly judge the behavior of others without any consideration to their human conditions, such as problems in home life and work related problems along with the stress of just trying to survive in this world. One should always try to empathize and acknowledge that the other person is facing similar if not worse situations within their life.  In a nut shell , if you have problems or just are having a bad day, so can the other person you are talking to or having issues with. We all have issues to deal with, we all have bad days and good. Sometimes we are just in a bad mood because we are. Remember other too suffer from the same if not similar afflictions in life.

A little compassion, understanding and empathy can go a very long way in life. There is no one who can always be nice, friendly and without days of being somewhat off-center emotionally . So give others some leeway as you would wish for them to do for you on your bad days. Remember that we all share this world we live in and we all are but human.
