Another Year has come to an end

Another Year has come to an end, many things may have come to pass within this year, some were great others were not so good. But the good news is we made it through another year through this hectic and semi-chaotic world of ours. Now people will make new years resolutions they will try hard to keep and probably wont. The best way to make this new year a better one is to choose to make a change within yourself. Choose to be kinder, happier, friendlier and to forgive as well as to try to be understanding towards one another. Changing the core of who you are and how you view and interact with the world around you is the key to making changes elsewhere in your life.

We here at Transient Reflections / One lifetime Blog and Barbier Family Blog want to wish all of you a Happy, Productive new year full of personal growth and happiness.

Happy New Years!!!!!!

Some thoughts on Dec 25 2012

005Positive thinking? Changing ones perception of the world around us? Choosing your attitude and changing how you interact with the world around you can greatly change your life and help fill your life with happiness and love. Forgiveness is a choice to let go of hurt and anger within yourself and it is one of the many forms of love god gave us. What it boils down to is our self-made perception of the world and our choices on how we interact and interpret it as well. Though we are individuals and we have our own personal view of how the world is and how it should be, we should remember we are also a piece of the great puzzle of life. There is so many other individuals living here with us at the same time and we are as one machine even though we are independent  in thought. In the end each one of us has pretty much the same goals such as living a happy life, making those we love happy and helping them to have a happy life as well. Though we all may see what happiness is in a different way, we all want to be happy and live life in peace. Even those who start wars and seem to pursue an aggressive existence crave peace and happiness, they just got hung-up on the pain and anger the world and life can bring. Some seek wealth, others seek power and both seek what they believe will bring them and those they love happiness in the end. There are even some that seek death either because they want to reach their vision of heaven or they believe it would end the suffering they have within their minds and hearts. Death is no answer, it is just an inevitable fact of being a mortal being as we humans are. Life is the answer and how you live it, perceive it and interact with it are the keys. We can either work together to find happiness and peace in life or we can continue pursuing our personal dreams. Either way we are the captains of our own destinies and we alone choose our paths in life. No one is responsible for your actions, thoughts and how you perceive life and the world around you but yourself.

We choose our own path in life, how we interact and perceive our world is an individual choice.

Thank you for being a part of my life

006To all my readers, friends, family and extended family, I pray that you have a merry Christmas. I also pray that in the new year to come you find peace within yourself, love for all living things including yourself. May you be guided by the hand of god and may his love fill your heart and lives. Know that I love every single one of you and that I know I have been blessed to have all of you in my life. I know I may not always have expressed how much you meant to me in the past because like everyone else I allowed the madness of modern life to keep me from the people and things that matter most. Thank you for being a part of my life and may God bless you all.

I know many of you will never see or read this post but I know within my heart you will feel it within your heart.

Merry Christmas to All

Just like faith, Love is an important part

Corcovado jesus

Love, Love of other living things and people. The love Jesus showed and shared during his years with us. Just like faith, Love is an important part of being one of God’s children. With a world growing ever more violent and full of hate, we need to focus on the love of god and the love he wishes us to have and share. Hate is not the opposite of love as some may think it is the absence of love. Do not mistake hate for anger, anger is a reaction to a bad situation, hate is the lack of love and respect for another person, place or thing. In example look at when Jesus got angry at the temple due to all the money exchangers, etc. Jesus did not hate the money exchangers he was angry at them for turning the temple into a place of greed. Jesus still loved them all but was very disappointed in them for their lack of respect for God and his Temple. Jesus taught love in many ways such as turning of the other cheek, his healing of the sick and also his forgiveness for sins. His greatest expression of love was allowing himself to be persecuted, humiliated and crucified in order to give humanity salvation. We should learn from Jesus’s teachings and put aside our hate and minimize our anger as well. All humans are prone to make mistakes and sin for it is a part of our nature to do so. We should love one another regardless of sin or shortcoming. It is sin we are to dislike, not the sinner and we should focus on helping each other to overcome the sin. Shouting hateful words or trying to put another human being down because they sin is quite hypocritical since we all bear the weight of being sinful natured creatures.

The pointing out of each others sins is useless and unproductive, Instead we should focus on study of the scriptures and being loving and caring to one another. For there is no need for someone else to point out our sins, we are all already aware of them. So love one another and be supportive of one another.

“And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? – Mathew 7:3”
