Random Thoughts 10-25-2015

Your mind can be your best friend or it can be your worst enemy. The thing about the mind is that clutter, useless thoughts and external distractions can and usually will cause it to function poorly if not cause it to be erratic and/or chaotic. A disciplined mind with clear and focused thinking is the key to a healthier mind.   Stress is the result of an undisciplined mind that is distracted easily by external forces. A mind that has stress is similar to a computer that is overheating, while stressed the mind is unable to function properly and becomes chaotic in the way it reacts to situations.  How can we reduce stress or learn to avoid stress all together is something we all need to learn to do.

Irrational thought and self degrading thoughts are but wasted mental energy, they are remnants of shame, guilt and the uncertainty within your subconscious.  Any guilt that one feels should be short-lived, once you learn the lessons from the mistakes you made you are supposed to move on. Holding on to such negative emotions and thoughts only serve to weigh you down and cause you to be indecisive. Forgive yourself and learn from your mistakes, don’t live in the aftermath of them. If you have learned from your mistakes and never repeat them then you should carry little to no guilt.  For what is done is done and beyond sincerely apologizing or full disclosure  of your guilt in the matter, there is little that one can do beyond that.

Learn from the lessons life brings you, don’t live in them. Be one who acts upon the circumstances around them, not one who reacts. Forgive others and yourself, for no person is without fault or blame.  Be yourself and learn what it means to be true to yourself as well. Always remember your thoughts, words and actions not only affect you, they affect every one around you and sometimes even those you will never meet.

journey we call life.

Quote shared by a friend

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others. – Marianne Williamson

You may ask yourself at times why should I be a positive force? Why should I be a helpful, kind and compassionate being in a world where being selfish, greedy and self-serving is the norm. Just because the world has become such a place is a good enough reason for me. Why be like everyone else and be nothing but a mindless slave to the ways of society. Being Selfless, compassionate and loving person is a rewarding path in many ways. If you put forth the effort to live as a positive force in this world, you don’t only bring a positive influence on the environment you’re in but you also reap the benefits of the environment you’ve influenced and or created. As it is written you shall reap what you sow and karma in its own way does exist. Sure being selfish, greedy and focused on material gain can bring you temporary joy, but material wealth is something one can lose or have stolen from them.

mp900427738  Things such as love, compassion, charity and peace benefits not only the wielder but those around them. The happiness and joy achieved from such things can not be stolen or lost.  Money in this modern world is necessary to survive, but it shouldn’t be our main focus in life.  When you put your wealth and possessions before the wellbeing of our fellow human beings it is shameful and more animalistic than human. There always should be a balance between our material desires and the spiritual or emotional selves. To survive we must deal with the need and want for material possessions. We just need to learn to put that second to the  more important need to be a community and positive force in this world. Put our Intellect, Reasoning skills and creativity in motion for the betterment of humanity and the world that we live in. The way you walk in life affects both you and those around you, we all are a part of the bigger picture. We all have our part to play be it hero, supporting staff, observer, advisor or even villain.

Which role you play is up to you, all I can say is I hope you chose to walk in your life in way that will benefit all around you. Chose to be someone and something that you can love and understand.

I wish a blessed day and may compassion be your guide through life.

Random Thoughts 10-1-2015

I was just sitting here thinking back to my youth and how I was so into the possibilities of UFO’s, Extraterrestrial life and the mysteries of the unknown. So many people were criticized, chastised and made fun of that believed they encountered any of that stuff. Scientists mocked any fellow scientist that would even think about doing research or had any interest in such things. The attitude hasn’t changed much through the decades, if you claimed to see a UFO or that you’ve had an encounter with an ET your looked upon as someone who is either crazy or someone on drugs who had a bad hallucination. The funny thing is considering who vast and how old our universe is, it would be quite vain to believe we are the only intelligent life forms  in it.  Do I think that aliens may have visited earth? well I believe it’s a remote possibility, considering they could be light years ahead of us technologically, who is to say they didn’t spot our planet and seen it had life from light years away.  Even though with the knowledge and technology mankind has today we do not know of any way for them to travel here in a timely manner, we do have some theories that make it a possibility. They may have discovered ways of travel that we haven’t even dreamt of as of yet. Would they abduct humans to study etc., of course they would look at us probably as we do animals or primates, lesser species with limited intellect. They probably would see our potential as well as are unfortunate habit for being a self-destructive species. So I would gather they would try to avoid becoming to involved with us.

Now science has found that the Goldilocks zone for inhabitable planets is more common than they once believed and they have discovered quite a few planets that are within that zone, it leads us to question if there is other civilizations of intelligent beings out there in the universe.  Well I guess until a UFO either lands on the white house lawn in full view for all to see or something as spectacular, we will only have speculation and theory to ponder on. Either way it is kind of nice to dream a bit about such possibilities and ponder on how our lives would change if they became reality.

Well there you go, some really random and out there thoughts.

Words, Actions,Hypocrisy and being true

Words say so much, they convey thoughts, feelings and bring your ideas to life. Taking the words and making them a part of reality, living by the words, bringing the words to life is part of the cycle. Words without action fall on deaf ears and blind eyes.

Good ideas should be acted upon, wise words should be lived by not just read and casted aside.  Simple sayings such as the golden rule should be a part of your being not just a phrase spouted and put away when it’s not useful for self gain. So many claim to be things in which they may outwardly appear but inwardly are the opposite of. Hypocrisy is rampant in politics, religion and within the fabric of society. Preach one way and walk in another, claim to be one thing while acting the total opposite.

I guess we all are guilty of such things in one way or another in our lifetime. The point is that if you are going to live this life then be open, honest and true to who and what you are. In the end who and what you are shows itself to those around you. There is no hiding who and what you are , well at least not forever.  Stop deceiving others and most of all stop deceiving yourself.

Be true to yourself

Random Thoughts 9-17-2015 Post 2

Sometimes life makes us feel insignificant, unnoticed and almost invisible . Our minds get trapped in this belief and self perpetuates the negative mentality. When that happens just shake it off for there is no one exactly like you in all of existence. You are unique, one of a kind so that negative thinking is nothing but your mind failing to see the truth around it. Yes, there are those who wont accept you or like you no matter what you say or do, those people are loosing out on a good opportunity to get to know yet another unique individual. Worry little over such things as if someone likes you or not, just treat others respectfully and be a good person that is what matters in the long run. Popularity may have its perks but they are short-lived just like the social status it brings. No one stays on top for ever so why bother seeking out something so temporary and unimportant. To be honest I believe being popular and in the spot light is far more stressful and problematic than it appears. To always worry about what people think, to have to work at remaining in the social spotlight and denying yourself the pleasure of being who you are for the sake of being popular seems kind of depressing if not plain silly.  If they can not love and accept you as who you truly are then they are not accepting you at all. It’s all an illusion and a fake plastic like reality. Give me being average and my self over being someone I am not just for the sake of being popular any day. Take me as I am or move along, for this is me and that’s all your going to get.

You have to learn to love and accept who you are before you will find those who will do the same.
