IMG_0097bOne Voice, That is what each and every one of us has in the sea of voices in our world. One lifetime is all the time we have to shine and impact the world we live in. There are many who try to drown out the voices of others and some that will do anything to keep you from letting your voice be heard. DO not allow this to happen for your voice may be one of an infinite amount within the symphony of life, but it is as important as any other persons voice.  Behind your voice is the unique mind and soul that only one person possess, which is you.

For in this world the best way to enact change is to change the hearts of the people around you. Inspire others to do better and achieve greater things within their lifetime.  You do not have to be a politician or well known personality to change the hearts of the people in the world, you only have to be yourself and teach others through example. Live what you believe, inspire others to do the same and except that each of us will have different ideas and paths to walk. Enlighten and be enlightened for no man or woman is ever done learning and growing , for there is always more to learn and experience.

Go and be yourself in this world, shine for who god lead you to be and love one another with no conditions.

On Valentines day we are reminded about how fortunate we are to have someone in this world we love and hopefully loves us back.  The traditional buying candy, flowers and gifts for each other or just a greeting card is wonderful as long as we remember to express our feelings through words and actions as well.  Today is a good day to forgive your significant other for their mistakes and shortcomings as well as forgive ourselves for our own.

Most people do not realize how rare and wonderful it is to have someone to take this journey of life beside us, to walk alone is not a easy task in life and to walk beside another though challenging is far more wonderful than going it solo.  Remember your Love one is also your friend and as such you need to build a great relationship full of understanding and compassion between you two. Work together not against each other and seek out a harmonious partnership if it possible.

Also on Valentines day you need to Tell those friends that are there for you through life how much you appreciate them as well. They play an important part in your life and sometimes fill the gaps in your life that your special someone may not be able to do all the time. Someone to lean on, to talk to and just be yourself with.

Blessings and Love be yours

018  Acceptance, something most of us crave and need to be a functional and somewhat happy individual. A lot of the time we are accepted by our peers but we have a hard time accepting ourselves.  Our brain takes what we think about ourselves and uses it to filter the world around us, so even if someone is loved, appreciated and accepted they may feel the total opposite of that if they have a poor self image and can not accept themselves for who and what they are.

If most people would just spend 1/4 of the time they do on trying to be accepted by others on improving their self image and in accepting themselves then they would be much happier in their lives.  Learning to accept yourself with all your faults and bad habits is not a walk in the park, but it is not a non obtainable goal. The first thing is learning to forgive yourself for the things you did that you consider wrong or mistakes. The baggage of past actions only builds guilt, which guilt has a purpose but it is not meant to be lifelong thing.  Forgive yourself, your only human and you will make mistakes along the way. Learn from them, forgive yourself and move on. Let go of your past, don’t live in the past for it only steals away today. If you have things you do still that bother you then work hard on changing them, but until you change them learn to accept that side of yourself and forgive yourself for not being perfect.

Focus on serving others, to do good for others is a great way to improve your self image and worth. It also teaches you to consider others above yourself at times. Find activities that make you feel better about yourself and get out and socialize, being an island unto yourself is not the best way to live, it only opens you up to being lonely and disconnected from the world we live in.  Just remember no matter what you have done in your life, that you deserve to be happy and live life to its fullest.  Even if it was something horrible, that was then and this is now, learn to be a better person and live a happy and productive life like we all should live.

Blessings and happiness to you all

IMG_1371-editedSitting here reflecting on my life and all the trials I have been through on my journey through life, I have noticed that many times in my life I was so blessed but I was blind to the treasures that was bestowed upon me . It is so easy only to see the curses in your life and overlook all the blessings that surround you. It seems that as humans we tend to focus on the tragedy of life more so than the wonder of it.

We get caught up in the grass is always greener and why does our next door neighbor seem to have it better than we do mentality. Funny thing is our neighbor may be looking at our grass or our life and thinking the exact same thing.  We need to open our eyes and be appreciative of the wondrous gifts we have been given in our lives, we need to stop looking for something more or what we think may be better. We should mow our own grass and pull the weeds instead of trying to buy or steal the grass of our neighbors.

Yeah it all boils down to the old and worn out saying that life is what you make it. That saying is very accurate, though it forgets to mention it’s a  process that you must be vigilant at.  Making life how you want it is just like tending to a garden, you have to weed the garden and water it quite often to keep it beautiful and weed free.

All aspects of life require work to make it good and accepting that what you have is a blessing in progress and not a curse is a key to making a happier life.

Be good to one another and be accepting of yourself and the life you have been blessed with

006-2.jpgIn our world there is two kind of strengths within a human, the physical and the mental. The physical has always been celebrated in ancient as well as modern society. Might make right mentality has existed since the dawn of man, though it had its purpose in ancient times since we had to battle not only each other for land and the resources therein we also had to battle the forces of nature and the predators that roamed the lands. Might is not always right, matter of fact it usually it is wrong regardless that it seems to still rule our  world.

Humanity still seems to choose the path of war, hate and fear over the path of peace and mutual co-operation. We rather fight over the remaining resources on our wonderful planet called earth than to share them and work together to find solutions to our current problems. Think what the world could achieve if the Governments would dedicate just half the resources they dedicate to their military to feeding the hungry, healing the sick and finding alternative energy sources that are renewable and less toxic to our home here on earth.

Think what the would happen if people across the world could achieve if they invested all their energy into improving the community and the lives of one another. Too much energy is wasted on fear, mistrust and holding on to hatreds from the past. Can not move forward until you resolve and let go of the past. The day we finally see we are more alike than different and that we all are one species regardless of the differences between us is the day humanity will become the species we are destined to be.

Political Correctness is not the answer that is just refraining from saying what we truly think and feel. The only answer is to change who we are inside, to grow beyond our fears, hatred and distrust of one another. Repressing feelings does not change them, usually it just makes things worse and multiplies their strength. We need to face those feelings and learn to understand them as well as their root. Then overcome them by removing the root cause. Yes easier said than done but very possible, that is one of the wonderful things about humans, we can always change and grow.

In the end it don’t matter who was right or wrong, its more about what is the right thing to do. It does not matter that we think differently, that we look different or we have different beliefs. What matters is every one of us is just as important as the next, we all play a part in this tapestry of life. Think of humanity as one large machine, one that self replicates and changes the landscape of its home. A machine should be designed to work together for a common purpose or goal. At this point in time the machine or the species of humanity is working more against itself than together, though I believe the majority of us desire peace, happiness and the ability to coexist harmoniously. Those in power don’t seem to understand or they are blind to the fact they are walking the path of extinction.

It is time for humanity to wake up, for the those in charge to grow up and focus on the well-being of all humanity not just their own nations or their agendas. Stop the sabre rattling and sit down with each other to find a mutually beneficial path for all the countries and people of the world. Not a one world government but a world full of governments that focus on the wellbeing of all of humanity.  Put away our fears, misunderstandings and distrust of one another. Forgive and forget the mistakes that each side has made and focus on a future where we can avoid repeating the same mistakes.

Do this for yourself, your families and the generations to come, I believe we all want the world to be a better place for our children and the children to come. The survival of the human race hangs in the balance and its up to all of us to make sure we walk the path that will be the best for all of mankind.

Sometimes we get so caught up in our own emotions, thoughts and ego that we overlook the fact that the other person in front of us has feelings of their own. We allow our own pain and frustration cloud our vision of what is really going on. We all suffer from loneliness, self-doubt and emotional pain in life. No one has a monopoly on such things and we should try to be more understanding and compassionate towards others, because they too suffer as we do in life.

Forgiveness and empathy are keys to a happy relationship, the understanding of the fact we all are the same far as what we suffer in life opens up the door to forgiveness. Remember we all are human therefore we shall make mistakes, we all feel similar feelings and experience very similar hardships in life. If you look at it like each one of us are a part of a whole, then you will see that if one piece of the whole is broken the whole suffers. So to be compassionate, forgiving and empathetic towards the other pieces is beneficial to the whole as much as it is to the individual.

Walking while looking behind you only makes one trip on what’s in front of them. So best to leave the past in the past and focus on what is both immediately in front of you and that which is ahead of you in life. The present is where you should be focusing and never hurts to prepare and plan for the future a bit as well. But just like the past, the future can cause you to miss what is right in front of you.

Celebrate, Embrace and Cherish whom and what you have here and now in your life, for it all can easily slip away in flash. Hold on to who you have to love, let them know how you feel daily, for life is short in time and we should be thankful for the blessings we have.

Each morning we wake with yet another chance to change our lives and the world we live in. Yesterday and the mistakes made within it are gone, though we still may feel their effects we do have the power to make up for them and choose differently today. Make amends for your past mistakes and move on, for looking backward will only lead to you tripping up in the present.

Now you have awoken to a new day and received yet another chance to get it right, go forward and do so with all your heart and with the best intentions you can muster. For what you do here and now will determine what tomorrow will bring. Make you choices wisely and be not quick to judge others, for we all have fault within ourselves regardless of how hard we strive to be fault free. Look not for fault in yourself or others, instead look for the flicker of hope and goodness within each person you meet. Build upon that which is good and kind within yourself as you do your best to oppress that which is not.

The world revolves around us as a whole, not around us individually. All life is sacred and all of us are equal in the grand scheme of the universe. No part is considered lesser or greater in the eyes of creation, so embrace the part you have and live that part with all of your being. Also remember what part you play today may morph into a new one tomorrow, no path or part is 100% set. That grand randomizing effect of freewill allows each of us to change our paths in life, though it seems a balance is always maintained within change itself.

Walk the path you choose full heartedly and without any doubt, be a force of good and a heart full of compassion and forgiveness.

Love, something that everyone seeks and each of us has within ourselves to give. Love is one of those things you must give in order to truly receive and appreciate. Love can not be limited only to those we know or just our family. Love must be unconditionally given and received or it is not love in its truest form. Many religions and philosophies point to the value of love and its necessity in our world. Selfishness, fear and hate seem to be more common place in humanity. Love and compassion are looked down on as if they are properties of the weak and/or meek.

We have a choice to make in our lives, we either can be compassionate, forgiving and loving beings or we can follow the path of greed, anger and fear. One brings you the riches of this world, which is temporary and that can be taken from you by another. The other offers the riches of the heart, which can not be stolen but can be shared freely. Do not get me wrong, we all want nice things and we should have what we need. But to put material possessions above the well-being and happiness of others is selfish.

Love starts within yourself, you must learn to love yourself and others unconditionally and be open to accept the love of others. Get over and let go of this worlds labels that separate us all, for no man nor woman is greater or lesser than another. If we be different in beliefs, sex, nationality or color it is unimportant. We all come into this world the same way and in the end we leave it through the same avenue. We all have hopes, dreams and we also all experience fear, anger and disappointment. The only thing that divides us is the belief we are different. Sure we are diverse in beliefs and looks but the core of each person is the same. We are alive, we are human and we all are in this life together.

Alone one person can make changes in the world, but collectively there is very little that humanity can not achieve and/or overcome. Until we learn to put aside our differences of opinion and beliefs and learn to accept unconditionally those differences we will remain being our own worst enemies.

Random Thoughts 12-15-15

rayrayd_edited-1.pngMemories of my youth, memories of sunny days and picnics by the river. Sunshine warming my body and friends to hangout with. Family members gathering and enjoying life for all it was worth. Those days have long gone but their influence on my soul is still with me. My friends have moved on and forgotten about me and family members are less now days. Ah the beauty and wonder of the innocence we had in youth, dreams of happiness and fulfillment. The desire to belong and to be a part of the world we live in and all of its splendor as well. Some of the dreams remain and so does the desire to be a part of something. Unfortunately the innocence is lost in time and through our experiences in life, though we lose our innocence we gain wisdom and knowledge to help us through our journey.
