–Sitting here reflecting on my life and all the trials I have been through on my journey through life, I have noticed that many times in my life I was so blessed but I was blind to the treasures that was bestowed upon me . It is so easy only to see the curses in your life and overlook all the blessings that surround you. It seems that as humans we tend to focus on the tragedy of life more so than the wonder of it.
We get caught up in the grass is always greener and why does our next door neighbor seem to have it better than we do mentality. Funny thing is our neighbor may be looking at our grass or our life and thinking the exact same thing. We need to open our eyes and be appreciative of the wondrous gifts we have been given in our lives, we need to stop looking for something more or what we think may be better. We should mow our own grass and pull the weeds instead of trying to buy or steal the grass of our neighbors.
Yeah it all boils down to the old and worn out saying that life is what you make it. That saying is very accurate, though it forgets to mention it’s a process that you must be vigilant at. Making life how you want it is just like tending to a garden, you have to weed the garden and water it quite often to keep it beautiful and weed free.
All aspects of life require work to make it good and accepting that what you have is a blessing in progress and not a curse is a key to making a happier life.
Be good to one another and be accepting of yourself and the life you have been blessed with
