One exception to that is

014To live with the hand your dealt sometimes is not the only option, though certain things can be changed others can not. To be able to accept those things that are out of our hands and change those that are to the better is the path of one who truly lives. It is your life, do not let anyone else live it, run it  and be weary of advice of strangers. God gave you freewill and the ability to reason and make choices for yourself. Do not let others control your emotions either, many manipulate others through feelings, if you learn to master your own emotions then you will be free to live as you feel and see fit. But be aware that every action, word and thought you have comes with a price.

Remember we are all brothers and sisters in this wondrous thing we call life. We should take care of one another and have compassion for not only others but for our own selves.  For as the hand we are dealt in life, we are responsible for the majority of it. The past choices we had made is what lead us to be who we are and to where we stand on the path of life. One exception to that is when divine intervention is present in one’s life, I believe it is present in most of our lives in one way or another. I believe God intervenes when necessary to keep his children on the right path and/or safe.

Even though we all have different beliefs when it comes to religion , we all can agree on the fact we all want our children to be happy and safe. No one wants war, poverty, starvation or even to be surrounded by or full of fear and hate. Most of us even want the children of others to be happy and safe from harm because we know they are the future. We must focus on the good of all humanity, the safety, well-being and happiness of the children in the world. We need to stop being so grounded in the ideal that today is all that matters. We also need to let go of the past, for the past stands in the way of us moving forward to a better tomorrow.

We can change both our personal paths in life and the global path of life as well. We as individuals are a part of the whole, Together we can make a better world for our children and their children’s children as well. We only limit ourselves by holding on to grudges and by being immovable in our position be it political, religious or  philosophically. diplomacy, Compromising and compassion as well as understanding are the keys to a better future.

What you plan on is not what you always get, but it becomes what you need to have or experience in the end.

Open my eyes so I may see

006bOpen my eyes so I may see, help me to see beyond the selfishness within my heart and mind. Help me to see once again the beauty in life and in this world I live in. So much anger and hate all around me, so much mistreatment of or brothers and sisters for reasons that are petty and meaningless. So much good in each of us that is laid to waste by our selfishness and pride, so many leaders leading us in the wrong direction and we follow them as if we are blind.

What makes one person better, superior or more deserving of a happy life than another? Nothing, we all deserve happiness and none of us are more or less than another. We al make mistakes, we all stumble in the dark at times and we all definitely make wrong choices in our lives. We are all sinners and we all are prone to be selfish by nature.

Open all of our eyes to see the beauty in the world and the beauty that is buried deep within us all. Let us see beyond our own desires and needs so we can see the needs of others. We are all in this world and life together, we all have feelings, needs and wants. We all have the power to make change happen in this world and each one of us are a part of the larger picture.

Feeling free to be who you truly are.

010Sometimes Happiness is nothing more than feeling free to be who you truly are. Being free of worry and fear of judgment by others. Being myself with no regards to what others may think allows me to enjoy my day. Seems also when I allow my true self to appear I don’t seem as critical or cynical  of myself or others. Such a weight lifted on the days I let my true self come out to play.

This world and modern society puts way too much restriction on how we must behave and be to belong or fit in. This puts such a burden on the backs of those whom are not the norm and even on those that conform.

Be yourself and not that what others expect or want you to be. To pretend to be whom you are not for the sake of conformity is but a dark and dreary way to exist.  The Love and happiness within you multiplies exponentially when you live as the person who you truly are.

Be true to yourself and cherish  each moment of every day.

Thoughts and ponderings on 10/28/2013

"I Got Mine"

Selfishness, Something we all suffer with and are affected by in one way or another. Being selfish is second nature to human beings, our self-awareness makes it so easy to focus on ourselves and less on those around us. We have to have some actions and thoughts focused solely on ourselves to survive and live  within this world, it  is the lack of selflessness  and love for others that is the main problem. The less we focus on the wellbeing of others the more self-centered and selfish we become. No matter how much we lie to ourselves and believe this world was made just for us alone and that things should be as we alone see as right, the fact that the world is and life is a shared experience can not be denied.

Simply put, we are all in this together and the more we see this truth and work together to have a peaceful existence the better off we all are. Regardless of our differences in culture, beliefs and personal opinions we all are basically the same. We all need food, shelter and decent standard of living to be happy and healthy. Unfortunately the balance of wealth and standards of living are out of whack, so few have far more than they need and so many are left wanting at the roadside of life.  Forcing the wealthy to give up what they have for the sake of others is not the answer, forcing something only causes resentment and leaves them seeking ways around doing so. The best method is trying to change their heart and mindset, help them see the benefits of being charitable and in being compassionate to their fellow humans. Either way you go more than likely the divide between the  haves and have not’s will remain quite large.

We should focus on helping one another and not on who has more to give and who don’t. If enough of us work together to make a change in the balance of wealth and living standards we can make a difference if not start to tip the scales towards a more equal distribution. Even in countries where the governments tend to stand in the way of an equal and balanced standard of living there is hope if the citizens work together. The bottom line is, To change the world we must first change the hearts and mindsets of those in power and those who have the resources. Without that, we still can achieve change but it will be a long and painful road to travel.

War is not an answer to any situation, Diplomacy only works if it is sincere and both sides are willing to sacrifice for the good of the many. Peace is not the result of war but the lack of war.

Random Thoughts on 7/4/2013

HPIM0064We walk through our life half blinded by what we perceive as reality and unaware of the beauty that life and this world has laid before us. Friendships, family and the relationships we have along with the bonds we make within our lifetime are to be cherished. We influence people we meet  directly by being a part of their lives and we can affect others through the footprints we leave. We can also influence one person  who can carry that influence to others. We can also write a blog and through it influence the thoughts of readers and other bloggers. We are far more intertwined as a species than we like to admit.

The words or actions of one can affect so many without even being the intention nor being realized by the person who initiated it all.  Once we realize how much our words and actions can affect and influence others we must face the fact we are responsible for the results brought about by them. We should always be conscious of our actions and words as well as the consequences they can bring. We also should be cautious and conscious of the actions and words of others so we can be in control of what influences us as well. We must not walk through life half blinded and half awake, we should be fully awake and aware of all that is around us. We should be aware of the responsibility of being alive and the consequences of our actions and words. We also should always cherish the life we have been given to live and know it is a blessing.

Be aware, Be Awake and take responsibility for your actions and words. Be thankful and cherish the one life we have to live.

What a week, Blessings Realized

IMG_1283Well I know its been a while since I have written anything, life can be so consuming sometimes. Within just 1 week I have had a transmission blow a front seal  and a tire blow out on a truck I was borrowing. Was kind of bumming out about it all and then I realized that this week was full of blessings. I was able to get my car home regardless of the transmission seal and when the tire blew out my future father in law just happened to be passing by and we got the spare on. So was this week all that bad, well not as bad as I first thought but still the repair or replacement of my car is a financial burden in waiting. I first want to say thank you God for the blessings of making it home and having help when I needed it And last but not least thank you Fred for your help.

The differences we have divide us only because we allow them to.

017Why cant the many religions of the world come to peace with one another? Why must we have hatred for those who either believe different or don’t have a belief? I never could understand how one person could hate another because of their religious beliefs, race or even nation origin. We are all human after all, we all are brought into this world in the same manner and we all leave it in the same state. We all want happiness for ourselves and those we love and we all have the same basic needs to survive. The differences we have divide us only because we allow them to. Our diversity as a species is what has since the dawn of humankind made us a resilient and thriving species. It gave us the ability to survive many climate changes and challenges.

I have had many friends of different religious beliefs and never judged them one way or another because of their beliefs. If I did judge them it was by how they treated me and others around them. We had many disagreements on religious ideals but we didn’t allow them to become a stumbling block in our friendship. Sad thing is even within a religion there can be division in belief and that sometimes even leads to violence within it. Is it the religion that causes this violence and division or is it caused by the darkness within some of those within the religion.

Either way, I will always be one who believes in every persons right to believe as they wish and I will respect what ever choice they make. I also will not turn away anyone as a friend nor anyone in need because of their beliefs.

I know how I believe and how I chose to be may not be popular and may be looked down on by some in my religion and in others as well, but It is how my heart tells me to be and that’s what I choose.

Writing is a companion to my thinking

018I write because I always loved to write since a child, everything from songs, short stories, poetry and philosophical nonsense. Writing is a companion to my thinking which I do and sometimes I do way too much. I may not be the greatest writer nor are my writings anything but average and that is if they even qualify as that. I seek no prize nor do I worry about or seek to become a published author, for writing is its own reward to me. I’m happy if just one person enjoys one of my writings and/or finds one of them to be helpful or interesting.

Words of wisdom or wishful thoughts.

IMG_1326_edited-1To love is to live, to live is to experience Love. To fear is to miss out on love and life. To fear love is to deny yourself happiness, to fear rejection is to deny yourself personal growth and the chance to succeed. To fear what others think is to throw away your chance to be who you are truly meant to be. To be like everyone else or follow the crowd is to deny yourself individuality. To deny you are a part of the whole is to deny yourself the fellowship it can bring along with the strength it can give you. To think you are strong by your own is to set yourself p for a great fall. To think you are wise is only proof you are yet a fool. To recognize your lack of wisdom and accept your faults  is the first step in becoming wise. To think you have learned it all only will deny you the truth and answers you seek. To hold a grudge and not forgive only hurts you and does nothing to the one that you begrudge. To judge others harshly only sets you up to be judged in the same way.

Be humble, Be kind, Try not to judge and if you do, do it with compassion. Love one another unconditionally and learn to forgive others as well as your own self

Do not think of what you can not be

IMG_1389_edited-1Who stands in the way of your happiness, success, commitments and your relationship with God? You, that’s who.. We tend to have an image of what we are and what we can become, the one we set as the what we can become is what limits us from going beyond. More or less it isn’t who you think you are that stands in the way its more of who you don’t think you are and who you can not become that is the roadblock between all things and God. It is far better to set no limits on yourself and not to set goals too low for then you will never grow or become the person you and God wants you to be.

Do not think of what you can not be, think of what you can be and what you can try to achieve. Each of us have the ability to go beyond what we see as our self and the limits we have set within our mind. We all have the potential to be who and whatever we wish to be, maybe some things will come easer to one and harder to another but if you desire it and put your heart and fait into it there is almost nothing one can achieve within their lifetime.
