have love as well as compassion towards one another.

017See that person next to you? they too have feelings, they also have struggles in life and they have as much importance as you do in the universe. Step outside your “Me, Myself and I” box and realize you are not alone nor are you the center of the universe anymore so than the guy or gal next to you.  Even those élite socialites and so-called alpha males and females that strut around as if they were superior, they too are your equals. They just live in a fantasy where they believe they are better in one fashion or another. The only difference between them and the rest of us is either good circumstances, random chance and of course probably some hard work or positive thinking and a lot of right choices.

Positive attitude plays a big part in both our self-image and self-esteem which in turn helps set the course of our life path.  How we perceive and how we treat others plays a big part in it all as well, if we know in the grand scheme of things we all have the same worth and that neither one or another is greater than the other, we then see people for who and what they truly are.  So the next time you see a beggar or a wealthy person see them as they are, just human beings trying to survive and trying to do so as best they can.  No malice should be aimed toward either and both should be subject to the same amount of love and basic respect that all living creatures deserve.

I have known both beggars and wealthy people in my life and they are pretty much the same far as wants, needs and basic desires. They both want to have their needs of food, lodging and the basic necessities, they both long to be accepted, loved and to be happy in their existence. The only real difference is what hand they were dealt in life and how they played the game.

The true riches of life are things like family, love, friendship and being happy with the blessings you have. To have peace within and finding contentment within ones life is the truest form or wealth. Possessions  tend to eventually possess the beholder and so it seems so does wealth. Greed and Envy drive the economies of the modern world more so than our needs.

So greet each other as equals and have love as well as compassion towards one another. For we are all part of the massive family we call human kind. Put greed and envy in the Trash Bin where it belongs and live life in the fullest. Be yourself and accept others for who they are.

The Inner Realm, The Place In Between (continued) (2)

It has been a month since that odd dream Jeff had and it had become a distant memory. Jeff comes home from his long day at work feeling a bit more tired than usual. He starts a fire in his fireplace and sits down in his favorite worn out recliner beside the fire. Jeff Slowly drifts off into sleep as he watches the flames dance as he listens to the hypnotic and soothing cracking sounds from the fireplace.  As his eyes slowly shut and he drifts off he hears the laughter of that almost forgotten old man from that dream from a month before. He finds himself sitting on the ground in front of that same campfire across from that old man Verum Peto. The old man looks at Jeff and smiles then says” I see you finally woke up again”.

Jeff not knowing how to take that statement or how to reply sits quietly looking at the campfire trying to figure out how it got here again.  Verum sees that Jeff is still bewildered by it all so he explains to Jeff how that this is more than just a dream, that is the place between conscious and subconscious, the place between the physical and the spiritual  dimensions. “Jeff this is the place between all that you know and all that makes it all come into existence. This is the realm of thought, dreams and the border lands to both your physical dimension and the dimension of spiritual or the metaphysical plane. This place has been called many things but the Tibetans came closest with what they call the Bardo plane.

Of course I am referring to the Milam Bardo, the entrance to the in-between state or dimension when one enters the dream state. They hit it pretty much on the head with the Milam Bardo. Pretty much in a nut shell Jeff you are in the white space in-between heaven and earth.”

The old man Verum then hands Jeff a cup of hot cocoa and gently smiles at him. Jeff still trying to grasp and take in all that Verum said just sits silently sipping his cocoa. Just as Jeff takes his last sip of cocoa Verum turns to him and says “It isnt quite time for you to truly awaken yet” and with that said, Jeff sits up quickly and sees he has returned to his old battered recliner by the fireplace and wonders once again if it all was but a dream.

But that little voice within is persistent

003Self Control, Self Reflection and Self deception detection. Only if we had a built-in detector that could warn us when we are about to lose control or when we are deceiving ourselves… Oh wait we do, we just tend to ignore it. Some call it a conscience others call it a moral thermometer or compass.  It’s that little voice that most of us tend to ignore or act as if it doesn’t exist so we can do things that we think will get us that temporary pleasure or emotional high. It’s the voice within trying to warn us of the consequences of our actions and the damage it may cause.

It seems our ego likes to block out, gag and tie up or conscience so it can fill itself up and be big. Its selfish nature makes the ego a hard thing to tame and control.  The ego is only out for itself and is one of the biggest barriers to finding contentment and happiness in life.  The Ego tries hard to convince us we are totally individual and separate therefore the whole is unimportant and the self is all that exists and matters.  But that little voice within is persistent and will continually remind us of our connection with all other living things and that we are not the center of  all existence.  We are but one cog in the machine works of all that is and a contributor to all that shall eventually come. Our words, thought and actions be they small or great will play a part in what we call the present which will help set the course of the future.

Deflate that Ego and listen well to that little voice we all call a conscience.

Just some random thoughts on a sunday morning

When you put yourself above and before all else you tend to lose focus and wander through life only seeking out pleasures or power. When you put others before yourself you tend to realize how unimportant are you wants and how important is the welfare and needs of others. You also realize how you have far more to be happy about than you have to complain about in reality. Most of our lives are far better than we tend to see, when we see how bad others have it in this world the more we see how blind we have been.
The saddest part is there is more than enough wealth, food, water and other necessities to go around. We alow politics, greed and apathy to stand in the way of a better world for all of ourselves and our children. We need to pay less attention to our desires to have the newest and best electronic gadgets, automobiles and such, we waste so much money on keeping up with the Joneses or trying to be in style. A lot of the money we spend on such things could either help out a friend, neighbor or just could be saved for a rainy day.

Thought of the Day 2/7/2014

016Turn and look into the mirror, see yourself for who and what you are. Stop being who and what others expect you to be and be who you really are. Leave the masquerade and join in on the reality of who you were destined to truly be.

What is Prosperity and what does the Bible say about it?

022

What is Prosperity and what does the Bible say about it?

Job 36:11 (KJV)  “If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.”

If we obey and serve God he shall grant us prosperity  through our life.  So we are told through obedience and Servitude is the path to prosperity. We are also told that God is pleased to see his servants in prosperity in Psalms

Psalms 35:27 (KJV) “Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the Lord be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.”

Thus we can conclude that God wants us to live in Happiness and Prosperity. But then what is prosperity in the bible, is it riches, jewels or is it simply being at a point in life where one needs for nothing such as food a home and health?

If you recall in the bible the rich were not celebrated, So I say that the prosperity God grants is more based on the needs of one to survive and live happily not that of wealth, power or possessions. Servants of God be that they be preacher, teacher, messenger or just a follower. should spread the message of the prosperity of God not of the prosperity of the wicked and foolish world.

Mathew 6: 19-20

19 “Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal; 20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in Heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal.

Which Roughly means do not put faith in things that are of this world, they are temporary. Put faith in God and the things of his kingdom for they are forever..

random thoughts–1/28/2014

HPIM0319To Love others as God loves us, this is what we were taught to do yet we seem to miss that mark so easily. Why is it so hard to accept and love one another unconditionally? What makes us want to either judge others hastily and without compassion or causes us to choose to deny others love. We all want to be loved, accepted and to be a part of a group or community, but we tend to deny ourselves these things as much as we deny it to others due to our image of what we think makes one worthy of such.

The fact is we all deserve love, acceptance and to be a part of a community. God gave us his love so we could spread his love and cause it to multiply between us all. We all belong to the great community of humankind even though some people believe otherwise. No man s greater or lesser than his brother in the eyes of God nor is any person without sin or fault. To declare or to put oneself above another is but vanity and self centeredness in its purest form.

To claim to be wise usually is a sign one is a fool, to see that you are but a fool is usually the first step towards wisdom. To know thyself with out self-delusion or self-glorification is to be humble and to see the truth of what one is. I claim not to know the answers I only claim to know some of the questions and express that which I believe and understand as theoretical ideals.  I urge you to seek your own answers in life for you are responsible for what you choose to believe and what you teach others directly or indirectly.

Live life to the fullest, but do so with compassion and a charitable heart. Forgive not only others, also learn to forgive your own self, for one must face their own shortcomings and go beyond them in order to see the grace in forgiveness. Think for your self and follow not the mainstream ideology, for the path to ruin is wide and so is the path to hell. Seek the truth and be not persuaded by wolves in sheep’s clothing, for many profess to be leaders in Christ and are but men of wealth and greed.

I am but a fool who seeks to become wise, I am but a man who tries to be a good man, nothing else.

Who and what we truly are

002Why do we allow the opinions of others to effect our self-image, emotions and outlook on life. We tend to seek acceptance and reassurance from others, we learned this behavior as children. We need to see that though opinions of others have meaning and some weight, that our own opinions are just as important if not more so when it comes to our self. Others do not know you as you know yourself and they usually judge you on preconceived notions based on just one if not a few encounters they had with you. They don’t know your heart or mind, they have little fact or evidence to support their impression of your personality.

Even those that have known you for years still may not truly know who you are truly. Sometimes we do not even know ourselves as good as we should. We tend to be like a chameleon and change with the crowd and circumstances around us to blend in. We try to blend in and we rarely show our true selves out of fear of not being accepted or loved. The problem with being a chameleon or being a person who tries to fit in by putting on a mask is that we are never accepted or loved for who we are. Thus we are not accepted or loved at all, for they love the part we play not for who and what we are.

We try to kid ourselves they love us and accept us even though they see a disguise not our true image. But deep inside we will know is all a lie and falsehood. So it is far better to be loved and accepted by a few as who and what we truly are then to be loved and accepted by many for who we are not.

Be yourself, Believe in yourself and Be true to yourself. Worry not of the opinions of others and love yourself for who you are.

Random Thoughts on a Sunday (1/12/2014)

016Each morning we should give thanks for another day to live, we should remember not to take those in our life for granted because we know not when they may be gone. We should be thankful for what we have and worry of what may have been or may be yet to come. Live in the now and know what you have is more important than that which you have lost or haven’t yet received. The universe is vast and we are but a miniscule speck of dust in its existence, we should never allow our egos to be large and we should see we are not the center of the universe. Be humble and see the worth in all living creatures, regardless of size, shape, color or sex. Many religions exist on our planet and we must learn to accept the right for others to believe differently than ourselves and we also must to see each others as equals. For in our beginning we all come from a mother and in the end we all find ourselves in a grave. Births and deaths mean very little, it is what you do between the two that counts.

If your past is full of darkness then make your present the time to light a candle and your future the way to a life of light. Learn from your past, live in the now and the future will take care of itself. Learn to Question all things so that you understand that which you know and as so you do not follow any idea or notion  blindly.

Thursday’s Random Thoughts 1/9/2014

eye.jpgGo beyond the barrier and see what is hidden from your view, open your eyes and see that which you have been blind too. Put away fear and uncertainty to make room for your hope and curiosity for they will serve you far better in life.Follow no man, philosophy or even religion blindly for you are responsible for your own actions and thoughts as well as the effect they may have on others. Better to doubt and be wrong than to follow blindly and be mislead or mistaken.
