Random Thoughts 3-12-2015

001You are unique, one of a kind and the only living being in the entire universe that’s exactly like you. Only you have the DNA sequence that you do, only you have had the experiences that you have had and the thoughts you think. Yes there may be those similar to you but none quite like you in whole.

Each one of us are unique and special because we are all one of a kinds. No one is greater or lesser in life, we all are equal and any belief there is a superior or lesser quality is an illusion and tragic disbelief that leads to unneeded injustices. There are those who are more suited for one tasks and less for another, this is part of the diversity which makes humanity the great creation we are. One may excel in physical prowess and another may excel academically. Both are important qualities needed by humanity and neither is greater or lesser than the other.  Once we as a species learn to overcome things such as prejudice, bigotry and elitism, we will finally be on the road to our true potential as a species.

We have a long road ahead of us, humanity is still plagued with fear, mistrust, greed and the injustice of inequality. Seems humans have a hard time letting go of tragedies and the mistakes in the past. This hinders humanity from moving forward and it jeopardizes the future of our species as a whole.  With so many issues to face in the present, wasting time holding grudges and fearing the unlikely we will find ourselves too preoccupied to find the solutions we need. Governments are too preoccupied and distracted by both political party differences and unnecessary rivalries between nations to focus on the real issues at hand.

Greed, fear and the lust of power has way to much power over those in Government, only if they could focus on the real issues and learn to work together. We all are equal in birth and we all in the end must face our equality in death. Seems the hardest part is facing our equality in the time we spend in-between the two. Maybe one day we will realize we all are equally special ,unique and in the differences between us there is more commonality than we acknowledge.

Well hope you enjoyed my Random Thoughts For today

Blessings and Happiness to all

I always wonder why that people tend to be so negative in nature when life itself is something of wonder and of beauty. I understand how life tends to throw curve balls at us and how external influences can become roadblocks and pitfalls on our journey through life. Bad and unfortunate events occur, there is little we can do about those kind of things. All we can do is choose to either be someone who reacts to such things or be a person who has learned to act to minimize the negative effects of such. Being reactionary is to let instinct take control and not allow our reasoning skills to figure out the most beneficial action to take in response to the situation.

Being a reactionary type person is basically being someone who leaves most of his or her decisions in life up to chance. Sometimes we only have that choice, but most of the time we do have the choice and ability to reason out a better way to respond to circumstances than just instinctually. Putting it in a nutshell so to speak is to say it is better to think things through than just letting our instincts control our actions and reactions. Step back and look at the whole situation and all the circumstances surrounding it before taking any kind of action. For it is wise to think before you act instead of acting hastily without any thought of both the circumstances and consequences that one could face.

We always must remember that not only our actions can cause us to face consequences but also the words we speak. Responsibility of both our words and actions fall solely on ourselves, the consequences of both are our responsibility as well. In the end we shall face the consequences of our choices, actions and words. Be it through karma, judgement by a supreme being or just plain fate we will face our choices in life. So one would think it would be far wiser to be mindful of what actions and words you choose in life

A few quotes to ponder on…

Think before you speak, because your words and influence will plant the seed of either success or failure in the mind of another. – Napoleon Hill

Think before you act and act on what you believe. – Bo Bennett

Before you act, listen. Before you react, think. Before you spend, earn. Before you criticize, wait. Before you pray, forgive. Before you quit, try. – Ernest Hemingway

014_edited-2Facing the truth when it comes to your own self is one of the hardest things you have to face in life. Accepting that you are not invincible, that in fact you are as vulnerable as everyone else is hard to accept. Though I never thought I was a superman or anything along that lines, I did however believe I was far tougher than I found myself to be.  The human spirit can overcome almost anything that is thrown at it over time but in the end you still suffer the after effects of wrong decisions and unfortunate circumstances.

Strength isn’t as much the physical ability of a person  as it is the mental and/or spiritual fortitude they possess.  Knowing versus actual understanding is two different things as well. But even having understanding is useless if it is not brought to life through application and/or action.  Many of profound ideas and thought have been laid to waste by the lack of someone bringing them to life through action.

So the old adage of putting your money where your mouth is comes to mind as well as practice as you preach.  I say this to myself often now as I grow older, I realize that even though I have greatest of intentions that without putting them into action or living by them they are but pretty thoughts and words.  So I say to you all if you believe in something, have grand and wondrous ideas do not allow them to be laid to waste by inaction.  Don’t let them be nothing more than good intentions that never become a part of reality.

HPIM0063The amount of time we all have in a lifetime in microscopic compared to how long the universe has existed. Life is so precious because we have so little time to experience it. With this in mind we should be good to one another, be compassionate and forgiving. We all are only human after all, we all make mistakes, poor choices and get lost on our way through life.  Find what makes you happy and go obtain it and do it with a good heart. Think hard and examine what is important in your life, some things you may see as important may not be and some things you may see as worthless may be the most important to you in the end.

Not one individual is greater or more important than another, that illusion  has caused injustice and an imbalance in our world. We all are equal in the stream of time and on the path of life, we all must face the fate of being physically mortal.  Age, disease and sickness cares little about social or financial statuses, we all are victims of such. So we should cherish one another and be respectful to each other. We need to put aside the foolish beliefs that one human is greater or lesser than another.

This world is in need of great change, a great change of the mindset of both those in power and those whom are not. But change will not come without it having a place to take root. Change always must start within yourself and then be spread outward, Plant a seed of positive change within yourself and be a Johnny Appleseed of a better world and a brighter future.

To end todays Random Thoughts I leave you with a Quote from a song by the late Michael Jackson

If You Wanna Make The
World A Better Place Take A Look At Yourself, And
Then Make A Change ~ Michael Jackson “Man in the Mirror”

p10109Every word you say, thought you think and action you take creates the path you shall walk in life. Not only do they set your path in life they also influence and affect others as well.  Such things as gossip, lies and words of negativity can lead to the  degradation of the wielder and well as the person they are aimed at. Negative thoughts and words are double-edged swords, they harm not only the target but also the one who wields them.  This is why lies, gossip and negative and degrading words and/or thought are not something one would want to embrace and/or use. Words of positivity, encouragement and words of truth are also a double edge swords, but with these one will find strength and self-respect. Though the truth can cause harm through the revelation of dark secrets and so on, but it also in the end brings healing and new beginnings as well.  There is always the saying that goes if you have nothing good or positive to say then say nothing at all. In the end it is always hard to always be encouraging and positive in a world so full of hate, fear and pain. But the more of us whom chose the higher road of being a positive force in this world the less power hate, fear and negativity will have.  Being we are all human and that we are all basically the same there is little reason why we couldn’t come to accept one another and become a positive and thriving species. In the end it’s all up to ourselves to choose how we live this life and which path we walk on during this journey of life. How we treat others and ourselves is all that will be remembered about us when our journey ends.

Just some Random Thought for you all to ponder. Be they right or wrong they are here for all to see.

tpl_7_pplForgiveness is important in living a happy life, most of the time forgiving someone else isn’t the problem. The forgiving of your own mistakes is the biggest problem. Most people are harder on their selves than they are on others, this leads to the loss of self-confidence and self-love. we all need to learn to embrace who we are as is and instead of putting so much emphasis on being the perfect person we should put more emphasis on improving and accepting the person we are. No person is perfect, we all have flaws , short comings and make poor choices.

Focus on your good qualities and make them shine while learning to control and curb the qualities that are not so good. Eventually you may rid yourself of the lesser qualities or at least keep them in check to where they do not cause any harm. Either way by focusing on the good qualities and bringing them to the forefront will at least help you grow emotionally, mentally and even spiritually.

IMG_1078fbIn life we walk around looking for happiness, harmony and acceptance. We seek these things in the eyes, hearts and arms of others. The truth is even though others can enhance your happiness they can not create it. Happiness is something that you must create and claim on your own. If you go through life waiting for a hero or heroine to come and save the day then you are bound to be repeatedly disappointed unless of course you realize that hero or heroine is you.

Stop looking for an external source to your happiness and start building a better you within your own mind and heart. First one must learn to love and accept themselves before they can truly learn to love and accept others. In the same thought one may even say you must learn to love yourself before you can fully learn how to appreciate and accept the love of others. All change starts within as so does all happiness, without an inner sense of love, happiness and a sense of ones true self it is difficult to be happy.

Of course some say you can have a selfish love of sorts, but love in nature isnt selfish. So we would say that what they refer to selfish love is some form of  greed or lust  than a form of love.. Within you is the potential of such great love and compassion.

Love is something we give and if we are fortunate we will receive in return

Random Thoughts:12-14-2014

rayrayd_edited-1When we are young we rarely think of death, we lack the fear of death and the we don’t understand the fact life is fleeting and temporary.  That innocence we had as children made life so wonderful and free, unfortunately as we grow older we experience the loss of friends, family and others around us. Slowly the reality of our mortality sinks in and bit by bit our innocence disappears. Instead of owning both our life and our eventual end we tend to slowly give in to fear. That fear strips us of our happiness and steals the time we are supposed to enjoy living.

Life is not supposed to be all about fearing its end, its supposed to be about living in the moment and enjoying the precious time we have with those whom we love and enjoy being with. Being our life is so short , we should try to be loving, caring and compassionate beings and learn to love and forgive one another unconditionally.

Unfortunately there is always great injustice in this world as well as inequality. Though a lot of that is beyond our control , but a good part of it is within our own hands to change. If each one of us lived our lives respecting one another and embracing one another as unique individuals and equals then a good part of what ails society would be diminished.  There will always be problems to face in this world be it on the street or in the high offices of government. This will not change until the heart of humanity changes within its self.

To end todays Random Thoughts I will leave you with a quote from a popular song that rings true in my heart at least.

He Ain’t Heavy, He’s My Brother– The Hollies  (1969)

Random Thoughts–11/30/2014

IMG_1078Sometimes I wonder when we  as a society went from being content with the wonderful things we have been blessed with to being envious of what others may have better than us. We have become a society driven by  personal possessions and social status and that is not a positive thing. When we begin to value inanimate objects above the wellbeing and lives of other people we have lost the precious attributes that make us human.

No amount of money, gold or precious stones are worth more than the life of a human being. No difference of opinion, differences in religious beliefs or political party should be more important than the life of any human. Sure we need to hash out those differences or learn to accept that not every person will believe or think the same. We should have respect for another persons right to be an individual and their right to believe and think as they desire.

We need to return to a path of respect, compassion and of tolerance. Humanity has enough challenges to face in the present and future. We should be civilized and mature enough to see beyond such things as racism, elitism and intolerance.  Fear and hate has too much power in our modern world and it shouldn’t.  It is shameful that as old as the human race is that we still fall prey to emotions that are primitive.  Still amazing how quick we give in to our negative emotions and how hard it seems for us to embrace the more positive ones such as compassion, love and empathy.
