Random Thoughts 10-29-2015

free Sometimes I just kick back and think of how many times I failed to reach my goals, how many times I allowed the failure to disrupt my life and how foolish I was to allow it to do so. Failure may not be something to strive for but it is a something we all must face from time to time. Through failure one can learn a lot, you learn not only what not to do or how not to do it, you also learn a lot about yourself and what you need to change. Failing isn’t the end of the road, it is but a pothole that you ran over. So don’t let it become a roadblock or worse. Every great inventor had to have many failures before they found the right design, Edison went through many failures on the light bulb before he got the right design to make it work. So failure is something we all must deal with along our way to success.Main thing is to never give up, keep on trying until you exhaust every option you have. Eventually you will find the right combination and or plan to make it work.

Random Thoughts 10-28-2015

mp900426559Life is full of twists and turns, probabilities and mishaps. Most of which you either caused or created by the choices you had made. The outcome you seek is not always what you receive, this is especially true when you are blind to the fact you are the one behind the wheel and that it is not just chance or fate dealing the cards. Most things are within our control, some are just random variables that we can not control or avoid. Though unavoidable does not mean that we can not set in motion countermeasures to adjust the final outcome.

tpl_7_pplThings such as fate and destiny are not set in stone, we can change them with hard work and determination. Some things may not be able to be stopped once they are in motion, but they can be slowed down and even with enough effort you can change the direction they are flowing. That is the nice thing about having free will , you can change your fate or destiny by changing the way you think, act, react and live your life. This is your life after all, it isn’t a scripted play nor is it just a random collection of coincidences. The author of your life is you, therefore you can change the story line at any given time in your life.

0181Acceptance of a situation is not giving in or giving up, it is the realization that not all things are within our ability to change. Accepting the things we can not change frees our mind and changes our focus on to the things we can change. The trick is learning what things are changeable and which things that are not. Even when we face situations we can not change, we still can chose how we react to them and even change the outcome of such events to a more favorable one. We are never completely powerless when it comes to life, we may feel overwhelmed and helpless but there is always something we can do to direct the final outcome. A good example is a thief who has been caught and faces imprisonment, he can either lie and deny his guilt or he can be honorable and admit his guilt. Sure he will still face prison time but he will do so with some honor intact. Also during his time served he can either just wait it out doing nothing or use that time to improve himself. Be it a spiritual, physical or mental improvement matters little. Using the time he has to improve himself will bring a far better outcome than to sit there doing nothing in his jail cell. If he does nothing while there he will probably return to the life of crime only to either wind back up in prison or worse.  I guess it is like the old saying “if life serves you lemons then make lemonade”. Make the best of every situation, look for any and all ways to take a bad situation and turn it into one that will benefit you and/or others in the end.

It is not necessarily who you are in life but how you live life that matters in the end.

mp900427741

You may ask yourself at times why should I be a positive force? Why should I be a helpful, kind and compassionate being in a world where being selfish, greedy and self-serving is the norm. Just because the world has become such a place is a good enough reason for me. Why be like everyone else and be nothing but a mindless slave to the ways of society. Being Selfless, compassionate and loving person is a rewarding path in many ways. If you put forth the effort to live as a positive force in this world, you don’t only bring a positive influence on the environment you’re in but you also reap the benefits of the environment you’ve influenced and or created. As it is written you shall reap what you sow and karma in its own way does exist. Sure being selfish, greedy and focused on material gain can bring you temporary joy, but material wealth is something one can lose or have stolen from them.

mp900427738  Things such as love, compassion, charity and peace benefits not only the wielder but those around them. The happiness and joy achieved from such things can not be stolen or lost.  Money in this modern world is necessary to survive, but it shouldn’t be our main focus in life.  When you put your wealth and possessions before the wellbeing of our fellow human beings it is shameful and more animalistic than human. There always should be a balance between our material desires and the spiritual or emotional selves. To survive we must deal with the need and want for material possessions. We just need to learn to put that second to the  more important need to be a community and positive force in this world. Put our Intellect, Reasoning skills and creativity in motion for the betterment of humanity and the world that we live in. The way you walk in life affects both you and those around you, we all are a part of the bigger picture. We all have our part to play be it hero, supporting staff, observer, advisor or even villain.

Which role you play is up to you, all I can say is I hope you chose to walk in your life in way that will benefit all around you. Chose to be someone and something that you can love and understand.

I wish a blessed day and may compassion be your guide through life.

Random Thoughts 10-1-2015

I was just sitting here thinking back to my youth and how I was so into the possibilities of UFO’s, Extraterrestrial life and the mysteries of the unknown. So many people were criticized, chastised and made fun of that believed they encountered any of that stuff. Scientists mocked any fellow scientist that would even think about doing research or had any interest in such things. The attitude hasn’t changed much through the decades, if you claimed to see a UFO or that you’ve had an encounter with an ET your looked upon as someone who is either crazy or someone on drugs who had a bad hallucination. The funny thing is considering who vast and how old our universe is, it would be quite vain to believe we are the only intelligent life forms  in it.  Do I think that aliens may have visited earth? well I believe it’s a remote possibility, considering they could be light years ahead of us technologically, who is to say they didn’t spot our planet and seen it had life from light years away.  Even though with the knowledge and technology mankind has today we do not know of any way for them to travel here in a timely manner, we do have some theories that make it a possibility. They may have discovered ways of travel that we haven’t even dreamt of as of yet. Would they abduct humans to study etc., of course they would look at us probably as we do animals or primates, lesser species with limited intellect. They probably would see our potential as well as are unfortunate habit for being a self-destructive species. So I would gather they would try to avoid becoming to involved with us.

Now science has found that the Goldilocks zone for inhabitable planets is more common than they once believed and they have discovered quite a few planets that are within that zone, it leads us to question if there is other civilizations of intelligent beings out there in the universe.  Well I guess until a UFO either lands on the white house lawn in full view for all to see or something as spectacular, we will only have speculation and theory to ponder on. Either way it is kind of nice to dream a bit about such possibilities and ponder on how our lives would change if they became reality.

Well there you go, some really random and out there thoughts.

Words, Actions,Hypocrisy and being true

Words say so much, they convey thoughts, feelings and bring your ideas to life. Taking the words and making them a part of reality, living by the words, bringing the words to life is part of the cycle. Words without action fall on deaf ears and blind eyes.

Good ideas should be acted upon, wise words should be lived by not just read and casted aside.  Simple sayings such as the golden rule should be a part of your being not just a phrase spouted and put away when it’s not useful for self gain. So many claim to be things in which they may outwardly appear but inwardly are the opposite of. Hypocrisy is rampant in politics, religion and within the fabric of society. Preach one way and walk in another, claim to be one thing while acting the total opposite.

I guess we all are guilty of such things in one way or another in our lifetime. The point is that if you are going to live this life then be open, honest and true to who and what you are. In the end who and what you are shows itself to those around you. There is no hiding who and what you are , well at least not forever.  Stop deceiving others and most of all stop deceiving yourself.

Be true to yourself

Random Thoughts 9-17-2015 Post 2

Sometimes life makes us feel insignificant, unnoticed and almost invisible . Our minds get trapped in this belief and self perpetuates the negative mentality. When that happens just shake it off for there is no one exactly like you in all of existence. You are unique, one of a kind so that negative thinking is nothing but your mind failing to see the truth around it. Yes, there are those who wont accept you or like you no matter what you say or do, those people are loosing out on a good opportunity to get to know yet another unique individual. Worry little over such things as if someone likes you or not, just treat others respectfully and be a good person that is what matters in the long run. Popularity may have its perks but they are short-lived just like the social status it brings. No one stays on top for ever so why bother seeking out something so temporary and unimportant. To be honest I believe being popular and in the spot light is far more stressful and problematic than it appears. To always worry about what people think, to have to work at remaining in the social spotlight and denying yourself the pleasure of being who you are for the sake of being popular seems kind of depressing if not plain silly.  If they can not love and accept you as who you truly are then they are not accepting you at all. It’s all an illusion and a fake plastic like reality. Give me being average and my self over being someone I am not just for the sake of being popular any day. Take me as I am or move along, for this is me and that’s all your going to get.

You have to learn to love and accept who you are before you will find those who will do the same.

When you look at the person standing next to you, try to remember they too have problems and situations within their lives. They too have emotions and desire to be happy and successful in life.  When you want to judge others remember to look at yourself first for you have flaws if you want to believe it or not.  The flaw you may point out in the person next to you may be the flaw you hide in yourself.

No one is perfect nor can we all be the same due to the different experiences we have had through our lives. Not everyone can be confident, social or well adjusted. So look beyond the shortcomings in others, accept them for who they are and you might find a diamond in the rough.  We all are human, no one is perfect and we all need each other to survive and thrive.

When I Look at the smile on my niece’s face it reminds me of a time when I believe in humanity. It brings back the hope and wonder I once felt as child. It also makes me think about the world we are living in today and if as a whole we all don’t change course the world she will inherit will be one full of turmoil, fear and hate.

Hope is still in my heart that one day humanity will learn to get along with itself and all other living beings, creatures alike. Maybe one day we will learn to look beyond the illusion of separation and the misconception that one person can be above or below another. We all come into this world the same way and we all have only one way out. So between the miracle of birth and the certainty of death we should find the strength and courage to put aside all our differences to make a better world for the children of today to inherit as well as the future generations yet to come.

Truthfully most of the so-called differences between each of us is superficial or non-existent. We all desire happiness and peace within our lifetime. We all want a better world for the children and a happier existence for both ourselves and those around us. Only when we put aside such things as greed, fear and hate will we as a species be able to survive and flourish.

When I look at the smile on my niece’s face I see the hope of humanity, in the eyes of every child I see humanity’s salvation. The Children are the key to our future and we are the ones who decide what direction this world will be heading when those children inherit it from us.
