Not to get into the details and to make the post short the basis that music can reduce blood pressure and relieve stress have been proven. I myself unitize music for these purposes and so far i have had a reduction in blood pressure from 130 over 89 to 120 over 82 and feel less stress in my life.

The future is for tomorrow

Everyday we start anew, The past is behind us and the future is for tomorrow. Worries of what may come are in the way of what now should be. What had happened before keeps us from trying once again. Living in the past holds us back as living in the future makes us forget about what is here and now. So live in the now, Seize the moment and live like there is no tomorrow. For Tomorrow never can come because it become today as today becomes yesterday.

Fear, The Mind Killer

Quoting an old sci-fi movie Dune “Fear is the Mind Killer” And that is a very true quote.
If you allow fear to take control of your life you are unable to live a full life. Fear having its place and uses is not something we are made to experience daily. It is only meant to be experienced in time of true physical danger. You must realize most thing we fear is more and likely not going to manifest in our lives unless we cause them to.  To fear the unknown may be a common fear amongst humans but it is not beneficial. To fear the worst is to limit your potential for growth and for happiness. Fear clouds the mind and keeps one unfocused along with the physical damage fear can cause if one is in constant fear.

Usually what we fear never happens and if it for some reason it does its usually not as bad as we had thought it would be in the end. We must hold on to hope and let go of our fears. For hope brings a brighter future as fear keeps us from being a part of that future.

Well enough Rambling for now.

Special Talents

Every person has special talents and or gifts that either were bestowed upon them at birth or learned as they went through life. Each individual is unique even though they are a part of the collective consciousness. The mistake most people make is to either ignore their talents and gifts or not try to develop and refine them. The exceptional few are usually the ones who become leaders of one sort or another. I am here to tell you anyone can excel if they can pin point their natural and developed talents. Once you discover which talents you have then you should focus on the ones that you like doing and are exceptional at.

Many don’t try to use their talents due to fear of failure. Failure is not something one should fear, due to the fact it is through failure one can learn how to succeed. By finding what did and did not work you can make a better plan for the next attempt. Sometimes it takes multiple tries before you find the correct formula to succeed.  Do not fall pray to the get rich schemes and M.L.M. scams out there though someone gets rich off them but it isn’t you its the guy who created the scam. Far as things as THE Secret etc. that is just positive thinking put to a mystical theme. Yes positive thinking does aid in success but you don’t have to buy into any of those supposed success systems to utilize it. Though Being rich is not what i see as ultimate happiness but being financially secure is a part of it in this modern world.

To give the world a piece of you through your talents is a noble and worthwhile endeavor. To become Financially secure while doing so is a plus most of us could use and enjoy. Money brings neither happiness nor grief just what we do with our money can affect our happiness. Happiness is something only you can give to yourself and only you can take  it away or allow others to do the same.

They work for us

The air is full of chill and yet spring has arrived. The news people are jabbering about politics as usual,
debating the next bill that will either save the day or bring us doom.  Republicans claiming democrats spend
more when they all spend money that isn’t really theirs. They work for us down on main street but seem to serve
the big corporations and greed. When a congressman/woman makes more in one year then allot of us do in a lifetime
there seems to be something wrong. Why is it only a select few live high and clear of poverty and have great health
care plans while those who do the hard work seem to do without or pay high costs to have health care? Living on
minimum wage is impossible if you have to pay bills and eat.  I know life isn’t meant to be fair but it should be a bit
less unbalanced. I believe healthcare should be affordable to the poverty class and so should food. And far as welfare
and food stamps its next to impossible to get them if you have a job and are trying to better yourself.

Do not get me wrong the Aid available for those in need is a good system though i see allot of abuse of it and allot of
people struggling to get by just because the work a job that may give them a few too many hours work to qualify for
help. Luckily at this time in my life i am not in need of such benefits other than it would be nice to have a health card or
something since i am only part time at my job and the insurance we can get is only accidental not health or dental.

Well until the next post
Peace

Mistakes, Loss and the way forward.

In life we face many trials and tribulations, everything from mistakes we have made to the loss of a loved one to death or separation. We tend to seek someone to blame for theses events and most of the time there is no one to blame. Sometimes things happen just because they do, yes there is always a cause per se but not one person to blame. And to be honest it really doesn’t matter who is to blame for an event. What is more important is what one gains from the event. Such as my Father dying of C.O.P.D., Did i learn that besides genetics that cigarette smoking created the situation that lead to my fathers death? Well yes, i have learned that and this is why i am in the process of quitting cigarettes my self. I also learned in the end it never matters what mistakes you have made as long as you learned from them and at least tried to make penance for them. We will make many mistakes along the way and we will also loose loved ones one way or another. But to have loved and lost is far greater than to have not loved at all they say. I am a firm believer of that idea, To share in ones life is a great and wondrous blessing we have in life. To not be only of ones self but of those that are around you makes one happier and more fulfilled.

One of the hardest parts of life is moving forward after loss and after realizing ones mistakes. The emptiness  after the loss and the guilt after the mistake can keep you paralyzed. This means you are stuck in your past and unable to move on to your future.  One must grieve over their loss and one must accept responsibility  for  their  mistakes and learn self forgiveness. This is a necessity  for one to move on in life.
I know it is hard when you loose a loved one and yes you will still feel sorrow from time to time but you also will remember allot of the great experiences that loved one had given and shared with you through life. And if you are lucky like i was you may see them in a dream where they console you. I was fortunate to have a dream in where my dad told me he would always be with me and he loved me. That helped me allot cause i had guilt about not seeing him as much as i should have near the end and how we drifted apart. I felt very sad about how alone he must have felt due to that fact. Sometimes i still do have those feelings but they are short lived and deep inside i know he knew i loved him. Far as mistakes in life i have made far more than my share and one by one i am learning to forgive myself for them. Its a sometimes is a long journey from being stuck in ones past to moving on but its one well worth it in the end.

Reality, Just one or one for each person?

Has any one ever told you that you are out of touch with reality? Well I ask who’s reality are they talking about. Most people believe there is one definite reality when in fact there is as many realities as there are living creatures in the universe. Unless we are in a collective (like that of the borg in STNG) then pretty much every one of us has our own reality or perception there of. What most people refer to as reality is but the manifestation of what the general population sees as civil and acceptable. A common usage would have reality mean "perceptions, beliefs, and attitudes toward reality," as in "My reality is not your reality."  For example, in a religious discussion between friends, one might say (attempting humor), "You might disagree, but in my reality, everyone goes to heaven." The Origins of the word Reality is from the Latin term  realis; The meaning of  "real existence”.

Wikipedia.com excerpt

Philosophical views of reality (click to View on Wikipedia)

Philosophy addresses two different aspects of the topic of reality: the nature of reality itself, and the relationship between the mind (as well as language and culture) and reality.

On the one hand, ontology is the study of being, and the central topic of the field is couched, variously, in terms of being, existence, "what is", and reality. The task in ontology is to describe the most general categories of reality and how they are interrelated. If — what is rarely done — a philosopher wanted to proffer a positive definition of the concept "reality", it would be done under this heading. As explained above, some philosophers draw a distinction between reality and existence. In fact, many analytic philosophers today tend to avoid the term "real" and "reality" in discussing ontological issues. But for those who would treat "is real" the same way they treat "exists", one of the leading questions of analytic philosophy has been whether existence (or reality) is a property of objects. It has been widely held by analytic philosophers that it is not a property at all, though this view has lost some ground in recent decades.

On the other hand, particularly in discussions of objectivity that have feet in both metaphysics and epistemology, philosophical discussions of "reality" often concern the ways in which reality is, or is not, in some way dependent upon (or, to use fashionable jargon, "constructed" out of) mental and cultural factors such as perceptions, beliefs, and other mental states, as well as cultural artifacts, such as religions and political movements, on up to the vague notion of a common cultural world view, or Weltanschauung.

The view that there is a reality independent of any beliefs, perceptions, etc., is called realism. More specifically, philosophers are given to speaking about "realism about" this and that, such as realism about universals or realism about the external world. Generally, where one can identify any class of object, the existence or essential characteristics of which is said not to depend on perceptions, beliefs, language, or any other human artifact, one can speak of "realism about" that object.

One can also speak of anti-realism about the same objects. Anti-realism is the latest in a long series of terms for views opposed to realism. Perhaps the first was idealism, so called because reality was said to be in the mind, or a product of our ideas. Berkeleyan idealism is the view, propounded by the Irish empiricist George Berkeley, that the objects of perception are actually ideas in the mind. On this view, one might be tempted to say that reality is a "mental construct"; this is not quite accurate, however, since on Berkeley’s view perceptual ideas are created and coordinated by God. By the 20th century, views similar to Berkeley’s were called phenomenalism. Phenomenalism differs from Berkeleyan idealism primarily in that Berkeley believed that minds, or souls, are not merely ideas nor made up of ideas, whereas varieties of phenomenalism, such as that advocated by Russell, tended to go farther to say that the mind itself is merely a collection of perceptions, memories, etc., and that there is no mind or soul over and above such mental events. Finally, anti-realism became a fashionable term for any view which held that the existence of some object depends upon the mind or cultural artifacts. The view that the so-called external world is really merely a social, or cultural, artifact, called social constructionism, is one variety of anti-realism. Cultural relativism is the view that social issues such as morality are not absolute, but at least partially cultural artifact.

A Correspondence theory of knowledge about what exists claims that "true" knowledge of reality represents accurate correspondence of statements about and images of reality with the actual reality that the statements or images are attempting to represent. For example, the scientific method can verify that a statement is true based on the observable evidence that a thing exists. Many humans can point to the Rocky Mountains and say that this mountain range exists, and continues to exist even if no one is observing it or making statements about it. However, there is nothing that we can observe and name, and then say that it will exist forever. Eternal beings, if they exist, would need to be described by some method other than scientific.

So what is Reality, I guess it depends on ones Perception.
